Those macarons look absolutely amazing! Such good ideas throughout the whole piece for flavour pairings too - thank you.

These look absolutely stunning - the photos are beautiful! I also learnt the hard way that less is very much more when baking with lavender and it needs another relatively robust flavour alongside it, so lemon sounds perfect!

Thank you so much! I am so pleased you like them.

I love your use of the word robust there! And absolutely. I found it a bit of a balancing act between the two, so they complement, rather than overpower each other.

Those macarons are so gorgeous, Shell! What I wouldn’t give for a few of those with a hot drink! ☕️ You are so right about lavender quickly becoming overwhelming in baked goods. But when the ratio is right, it’s sublime. I made myself a birthday cake a few years ago that was lavender, blackberry, and Earl Grey. It was so yummy!

Thank you! They took a few attempts to get right, but now I am so pleased with them.

Ooooh, that birthday cake sounds delish, so grown up and elegant!

Gorgeous post Shell! Those macarons are absolutely stunning. I’d certainly be tempted to give lavender a try with the addition of glorious lemon 🍋

Thank you so much!

I’d definitely recommend it, I don't like lavender on its own but with this flavour pairing, it’s so grown up and refined! The balance is a little tricky, they can overpower each other if you aren't careful. But when it's right, it's 👌
